Krystal Scales N.P.

Hello my name is Krystal Scales.  I have been in the healthcare industry since 2006 when I first graduated from nursing school and became an RN.  I started my nursing career on a cardiac floor in my home state of Massachusetts.  My grandfather had a heart transplant when I was a child so caring for cardiac patient’s was important to me. I continued that when I moved to Arizona in 2008 working at Banner Heart Hospital. If you are wondering why I moved 2,000 miles from Massachusetts to Arizona there are 2 reasons. One I decided I never wanted to end a nursing shift by having to shovel my car out with a bed pan again and two I had met the man that is now my husband at a wedding and he was from this little town in Arizona called Miami. In 2010, the year we were married I started working at the local hospital in Globe. While there I was able to expand my knowledge and had the privilege to work shifts in every nursing department except for the OR. I even helped open there brand new Cardiac Cath Lab and was a Cath Lab RN.   While there I worked towards and completed my Master of Science Degree in Nursing.  I took my boards in 2016 and  I started my current job in February of 2017.  I was blessed to be able to find a job at Hope Family Care where I could continue to care for the people of the community that my husband had grown up in.   I love my job and enjoy being able to care for patient’s from birth well into their 90s and beyond. I also still have a soft spot for patient’s with heart troubles. Outside of work I am a proud Mom (step-mom) to a 20 year-old daughter and I have four doggie children.  My hobbies/likes include anything Harry Potter related, boating/fishing, eating foods from a variety of cultures, and when I can travel (so far my furthest has been Italy).
